Download an application here. Volunteer Application KidNet is Ruth Dykeman Children’s Center’s volunteer network. Whether you are part of a group, or simply want volunteer your individual time and talent, connect with KidNet to make a difference in the life of a child.
There are many volunteer opportunities either at the main campus on Lake Burien, at special events, or at various community-based sites such as after-school programs, or recreation and educational activities with youth groups. Some projects can even be done from your home or office.

Some recent examples of ways individuals and groups have volunteered:
- A group of city employees buy birthday gifts for children in residential treatment.
- Many businesses, churches and individuals sponsor a giving tree or adopt-a-family for the holidays.
- Local high school students hold a bowl-a-thon and give money raised to RDCC.
- Bank employees spend the day beautifying the grounds.
- An art teacher assists adolescent girls in painting chairs and other furniture for our annual auction.
- A family donates birthday presents to children who live in residential treatment.
